San Antonio’s oldest, and most beautiful, theater, the Majestic Theatre, is an easy drive from our hotel. Located in the heart of downtown San Antonio, the theater was built in 1929 and is a National Historic Landmark and is now owned by the city.
Today the theater is home to San Antonio’s symphony, as well as the destination for Broadway shows in San Antonio. It’s also been the venue of choice for performances by comedians, musicians, and more: over four million guests have walked through the doors the theater opened. Check out the latest performances at the theatre.
There’s not a bad seat in the house to admire the ornate, completely unique stage. Designed in the “Mediterranean Style,” the interiors of the theater and the stage will transport you to a magical, faraway land.
The Majestic Theatre is an easy drive straight down Highway 281 from our hotel. There is no on-site parking at the theater, but many garages are nearby, including the Mid-City parking garage and other downtown lots. Valet parking is only available for Starlight Suite ticket holders.
A full-service bar is available at the theatre, and outside food cannot be brought inside. However, there are lots of restaurants all around on the River Walk, as well as lots of options just a short distance from our hotel beforehand!
